I lub my new monitor! *Squeals* Its so sharp, clean.. *_* Anyways, Heh. Its Friday, so I’m still just in time in keeping my promise eh..? ^^ Its very wet here for the past weeks though.. Fiercest thunderstorms I ever saw occurred last week.. o.O Very scawy.. But DD is being scarier.. He keeps calling home every hour or so from work demanding for his monitor for the past week.. *Sigh* Glad that all is well now.. I can’t help it but DD bought me my own Chinese jade name chop from his trip to China! *Heart* It’s so so sweet and traditional! It is this yellow block of jade with a sweet bunny statuette hand carved on top (My zodiac sign is the rabbit ^^). There is more bunny carvings at the side of the block inlaid with gold.. My name is carved below in the olden days Chinese character’s with all that curves at the edges.. *Squeal* I have another jade one though its plainer and doesn’t have the inlaid gold. This one have my name carved in roman characters and in modern Chinese characters. I’m using this one to label my collection of books. I’m keeping the gold inlaid one in a safe deposit box.. Its very precious to me.. XD Coming this Chinese New Year dinner, the whole family is using jade chopsticks, which has its own zodiac themed chopstick stand. I get an bunny set! My sister is of the dog zodiac, so she got this cute reclining puppy one. As usual, I love my bunny ones. XD I’m tempted to use one side of the chopsticks in my hair though.. DD get to use the silver chopstick.. >.> I tried to tell him that our Chinese ancestors use the silver chopsticks just to prod the food to check for poison and then continue eating using normal ones.. But no, since he is the head of the family he must use the silver ones throughout dinner.. Baka ‘Tou-chan.. =_=;; I love Chinese antiques! They are so traditional.. So.. Me! (Old fashioned.. He hee ) *_* Wish DD can go to China again.. I might sneak in the flight with him.. XD Heh. Though.. You SHOULD buy more of those wooden carvings and the earthen tea pots DD.. And more of that ink block’s.. Since you said the souvenirs there cost 3 times cheaper than here.. Hn.. Kai Yen! Want those Horsehair Chinese brushes? ^^ Though maybe you can get it cheap here, but at least I pestered DD to get you something from our ancestral land ne? I can spare you a handful of those creamy White Rabbit sweet’s that tastes so much better then those sold here also. Or you can have those preserved sour plum sweet’s. (I can’t stand them.
